Terms of Business

 

  1. All prices are subject to fiscal and other increases which are outside the control of The Food Kitchen Ltd t/a Bread & Honey (B&H)
  2. Clients Obligations

    The Client shall supply B&H with any additional information not contained in the Booking Confirmation Form that B&H may reasonably require in order to provide the services.

    The client shall be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any equipment (including crockery and glassware) which shall be lost or damaged in the connection with the provision of services or the repair, cleaning or replacement of any part of the venue which shall be damaged in connection with the provision of the services save to the extent that such is covered by insurance and provided that B&H shall use its reasonable endeavours to protect and care for the equipment.

  3. Alteration to Services

    Any amendment to services by the client shall be notified in writing to B&H

    The client accepts that the cost of services is not directly proportional to the number of guests specified in the Booking Confirmation Form and that a reduction in the number of guests may not significantly reduce the amount of cooking and preparation time or the number of staff necessary at the event to provide the services

  4. Charges

    All charges quoted to the client for the provision of services are exclusive of any Value Added Tax for which the client will be additionally liable for at the prevailing rate.

    If payment is not made on the due date, B&H shall be entitled, without limiting any other rights it may have, to charge interest on the outstanding balance at the rate of 4% above the base rate from time to time of HSBC Plc accruing on a daily basis both before and after judgement together with all costs and losses incurred by B&H in the exercise of its rights under these terms.

    B&H reserve the right to charge extra if the preparation and organisation of the event is extended as a result of action or inaction by the client, including any variation or delay in the client giving a confirmatory instruction to B&H.

    50% of total cost is to be paid no less than 4 weeks in advance of the event date and the remaining 50% to be paid no more than 3 days prior to the event date

  5. Staff

    B&H staff shall be charged at the rate notified to the client for a minimum of 4.5 hours per person to include setting up and preparation of the venue and all cleaning and removal of equipment after the event

    B&H shall estimate the number of hours likely to be required for their staff to clear, dismount, disassemble and remove all or any equipment from the venue and fully clean the venue.  B&H shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that such tasks are undertaken as quickly and efficiently as is reasonably practical but the client shall be responsible for all actual costs so incurred at the notified hourly rate if the same shall exceed the cost allowed for in the agreed charges.

    In the event that any of the B&H staff shall be required to remain at the venue after midnight then the client shall pay for the extra costs for taxis for B&H staff.

  6. Cancellation

    In the event that the client shall cancel or be deemed to cancel the event the following charges will be incurred in addition to all out of pocket disbursements or costs of B&H in relation to the proposed provision of services:

    More than 4 weeks from event date                     25%
    2 -4 weeks from event date                                   50%
    1-2 weeks from event date                                    100%

  7. Health & Safety

    B&H have a statutory risk assessment policy in force which sets out our food preparation, delivery and service procedures.

    B&H also have in place relevant levels of both Public and Employer Liability Insurance.
